Digital Learning Models

Along with Skyline Education, Inc.’s nationally recognized curriculum, the network of schools uses digital learning to enhance student success by assessing each student and creating individualized plans to support students through intervention and enrichment.  Skyline’s primary goal is to focus on individual student growth, ultimately leading to proficiency.

Skyline Education, Inc. schools use NWEA MAP (Measures of Academic Progress) benchmark testing – a nationally recognized, norm-referenced test to show student growth compared to national averages.  MAP Growth measures what students know and informs what they’re ready to learn next.  By dynamically adjusting to each student’s responses, MAP Growth creates a personalized assessment experience that accurately measures performance.  NWEA uses anonymous assessment data from over 10.2 million students to create national norms.  Educators compare their students’ performance against norms to evaluate programs and improve instruction.  Teachers use MAP Growth results to differentiate instruction and pinpoint individual student needs.

Once Teachers have identified each individual students needs, they are able to tailor instruction to achieve success with all students. Digital programs, such as Study Island, USA Test Prep and Edgenuity MyPath are incorporated into traditional instruction to assist students in catching up or getting ahead.  These digital resources are available to families at home as well as in the classroom and can be accessed with mobile devices, Chromebooks, laptops or computers.  These digital resources are truly changing the face of education by providing supplemental individualized experiences, creating better access and increased exposure to tutoring.
