About Us
History
In 2000, Ronda Owens and Sharon Paskiewicz founded Skyline Schools, Inc., a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization, with a shared belief that every child deserves access to a high-quality education—and that the future of our society depends on our commitment to educating youth. Their vision centered on ensuring that all children, regardless of socio-economic background, special needs, or personal history, are given an equal opportunity to succeed. They aimed to meet each student exactly where they are—whether far ahead or in need of additional support—and provide the environment, encouragement, and resources necessary for them to grow academically and in life.
In August 2000, after the passing of co-founder Sharon Paskiewicz, Ronda Owens forged ahead with determination, carrying their shared vision forward. Skyline launched with an academically focused program for grades 9–12, centered on rigorous coursework and technology-rich electives with a strong business emphasis. As the school evolved, Ronda recognized the growing need to weave arts and athletics into the educational foundation—an expansion that quickly became a hallmark of Skyline’s success. With a commitment to serving students of all ages, the organization continued to grow. In 2008, Skyline opened its Chandler campus, followed by the transition of Casa Blanca Middle School into Skyline Gila River D5. A Phoenix campus opened in 2011, and shortly thereafter, preschools were added in both Chandler and Phoenix. Today, Skyline Education proudly serves students across multiple campuses: Skyline South Phoenix (K–12), Skyline Gila River (5–12), AZ Compass Prep Schools (K–12), and Skyline Preschools in Chandler and Phoenix.
Skyline Education, Inc., a 501(c)(3) non-profit charter management organization, is guided by a team of experienced educational leaders dedicated to supporting and managing the growth of its schools—allowing each campus to remain focused on what matters most: educating students. Skyline Education, Inc. currently provides comprehensive services to both charter and private schools, including leadership development, grant acquisition, curriculum design, financial management, payroll, human resources, benefits administration, accreditation support, information technology, transportation, nutrition services, facilities management, procurement, E-Rate management, SAIS reporting, business planning, real estate development, marketing, special education services, and full school start-up support.
